Does it matter if I store the connector protector either opened or closed?
It is recommended to store the units open to allow for the shape of the seal to recover and let any trapped moisture in the unit escape.

How did moisture get inside my X1/X2?
The moisture may be caused by the change in temperature or humidity between the inside and outside of the housing. This can happen when the unit is placed in direct sunlight or if the unit gets wet. You don’t need to worry if there is only a few drops in the unit however if you have concerns disconnect the lead from the power supply, open the unit and inspect the seal for any damage that may have occurred.

What does it mean by “temporary use only†on the X1/X2s?
The seals on the units may become compromised if placed in the same position for a prolonged period. The unit should always be discontinued and stored away after use.
