Couldn't be happier with the choice we made. After a lot of research and checking options there was no reason to be concerned but even more impressed once the unit arrived. Runs caravan air conditioner no worries and the noise level is more than acceptable. When a decent load is applied the unit just responds as necessary with no detriment to appliances that may already be running. The extra items and particularly the cover are excellent. The cover is much stronger and thinker than the photos suggest, an ideal addition to the package.

We are finding it a great generator to top up our battery, run appliances when needed and give us peace of mind in case the battery in the van goes flat on overcast days!

Seemed full of power, even ran a 1.5 hp air con while testing things. i like how the inverter keeps the voltage and hertz spot on even at fast idle while running globes and fans, no dimming or slowing of the fan.

I bought the Briggs and Stratton as a backup for power, and as well as an option when we go bush camping. I was sold on the extra's that came with the special deal, cover, and LETS GET STARTED pack, this will be very useful. Never having owned a generator before, I was a pleased that it was straightforward and easy to start, the instructions were accurate and clear.

The Briggs & Stratton is a good compromise solution for an inverter generator when you aren't looking at forking out up to $2K for a Yamaha or Honda, while still having a unit that will be serviceable for some time into the future. Got this as a backup for if we have power problems (after a nearby suburb had no power for 3 days, I realised I didn't want to be in the same boat). Looking to power mainly the fridge and the home NBN router in emergencies. Wish it had the quietness of the Yamaha, the dB noise specs are a little misleading (in the B&S specification) compared to the Yamaha specs, but for a $700 saving with similar output power, and only the occasional use, I was willing to compromise on this. The current promotion with the bonus extras is quite good too. The cover was a surprise, the photo doesn't do it justice, it is quite a thick protective cover, not to mention the "Lets get started" pack with oil, fuel can, preserver etc, thanks.

Secondary reason for purchasing this item was to power a window installed air conditioner which I require for health reasons in the summer period if and when we have a power blackout. Purchases the B &S 2200 generator to replace Yamaha 2500 . B&S lighter and easier to stow. Using it on a 12mt boat restoration out on a swing mooring . Low noise means neighbors not annoyed when I am using sanders and drills . So far has handled all my hand tools and small vacuum cleaner . Very happy with purchase. Only 1 small complaint - it only puts 5 amp’s out at 12vt for battery charge old generator put out 8amps.

Easy to use & quiet Review by Luke Mudge

An excellent generator that I can carry around the work site. Quiet enough that I can use it camping but I don't like to use generators much when around other campers. Quiet power technology makes it fuel efficient and even quieter when the power demand is low. I highly recommend this generator to anyone who needs moderate power supply.
