Dunlite 3 Phase Honda 16kVA Generator
SKU: DGUH16E-3S-2 Learn More»Product Description
This all-conquering generator is the Dunlite 3-Phase 16kVA. There’s no doubt this generator is built for the construction, mining and hire industries. At its core, a reliable Honda GX690 engine packs enough grunt for the generator to provide a continuous output of 12000 watts.
In terms of specs, this unit boasts a 27-litre long-range fuel tank, electric start and three outlets – one 3-phase and two 1-phase. Add on the remote start, wheel kit, and earth leakage protection to get the exact specs you need.
A 2-year generator warranty backed by a national service network completes the package. The Honda engine comes with 3 year warranty.
Note this primarily a Three Phase generator - whilst it does come with single phase outlets (240 volt) also, this power is around a third of the peak 3-phase power.Â
This product is ‘Honda Australia Approved’ - meaning that the Honda engine used in an Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) product, has been engine match tested by Honda Australia, is a genuine Honda engine and meets their strict quality and operational standards, and is backed by their national service agent network. The following table outlines the new extended warranty for the different Honda engine types:

Product Q&A

Hi, there are two generators listed, one is a Gentech, one is a Dunlite - They look similar, but slightly different pricing. What is the difference in the generators? Regards, Neville
Hi Neville, great question. Dunlite & Gentech are both built / distributed by an Australian company called Welling & Crossley. They have been Australian owned and operated since 1926, and are recognised as an Australian leader in the manufacture and supply of petrol & diesel power equipment and generating sets for industrial, commercial and domestic applications.
Welling & Crossley's range of portable generators has always been Gentech. Then around 20 years ago, they acquired a similar portable generator brand in Dunlite. Each brand has excellent recognition throughout Australia. So both brands now come out of the same Welling & Crossley factory and so the models are not just similar, but the same – either branded ‘Gentech’ or ‘Dunlite’.
In the instance where the price is slightly different, this just relates to stock levels and availability of that particular model. In any case, there are Dunlite/Gentech portable petrol generators from around 2kVA to 16kVA in size, mostly powered by genuine Honda engines and are the trusted option for tradesmen, farmers, industrial applications, domestic requirements, small businesses and much more... similarly, the Dunlite/Gentech diesel portable generator models up to around 9kVA in size are powered by the likes of Lister Petter and Kohler engines and used for all matter of commercial, industrial and rural power requirements.
All Gentech/Dunlite products are backed by comprehensive warranties from the manufacturer (Welling & Crossley) and come with national service agent and spare parts support. Thanks.

Is there an option for Earth Leakage Protection (ELP) for this unit? I just need 1 x 3 phase plug and 1 x 15amp plug. Also, do you sell a 30m 5core 4mm2 lead with 20 apm 5 pin plug end? Thanks
Hi - The standard outlet configuration for this generator is:
1 x 32A 5PIN 415V three phase outlet
2 x 15A 3PIN 240V single phase outlets (note that you get one third of the total generator's power capacity out of the single phase outlets).
If you require RCD Earth Leakage Protection, please refer to the accessory list which shows RCD for both single phase and three phase outlets. These are weatherproof outlets supplied fitted to the generator on order and comply with Australian Standards for work sites.
Lastly, we do not sell leads - apologies, just the generator and outlets to suit your application. Thanks

Hi guys, is the engine in this Dunlite genset a genuine Honda engine? I know there are some cheap imitation engines in the market. Thanks.
G'Day, this is most definitely a genuine Honda engine! The Dunlite range of Petrol Generators use 100% authentic Honda engines purchased from Honda Australia and are backed with a full 4 year commercial warranty for the Honda GX model engines. The generator, including the frame and alternator etc. comes with a 2 year warranty. You can have the engine serviced or inspected by any approved Honda service agent in Australia - there are more than 400 accredited Honda service agents around the country.
We are also aware of some cheaper brands using imported "Honda" engines or cheap imitation generator brands labelling the engine as Honda. We do not stock any products that use non-verified Honda engines from Honda Australia. Dunlite have had a presence in Australia for over 75 years and have a very strong reputation for tough worksite and farm site generators around the country. Along with Gentech and Powerlite, they are one of our best-selling portable trade generator brands.
Hope that helps, Cheers - Steve
