Hello the 16 mm twin core wire is about what b&s size is this ok to run my 40amp dcdc charger in my canopy .I have a 2000 Hilux and currently run a vsr to my second battery in my canopy do i need to still run my wiring through the vsr when i install

The 16mm cable is suitable for this charger. It is approx 6 B & S.
You would not want to use the VSR, the DC DC charger would replace it.
