The Infinity Fibreglass Fridge Freezers are assembled, commissioned and tested in Australia. The Infinity range is designed for longevity, as every part is replaceable.

Power Consumption:

Power usage is dependent on several factors including (but not limited to): ambient temperature, required fridge temperature, temperature of fridge contents, compressor speed (fridge setting) and ventilation.

The following figures represent the average power usage at 32C (measured over a 24 hour period)

This fridge runs on 12 or 24 volt DC power. However, an Evakool Power Adaptor (RRP $159) is included with this fridge (image below). This Power Adaptor enables you to run the fridge from a 240 Volt AC mains power source. This is popular when you want to conserve battery power.

The included Adaptor comes inside the box with your fridge and has a rated peak power output of 10 Amps.

A larger, Heavy Duty Evakool Adaptor with rated peak power output of 15 Amps is available in the above Accessories List as an optional extra.

How much height will the Evakool Fridge Slide add to the overall height of my portable fridge?

The Overall height of the fridge slide is 90mm, but with your fridge mounted on the slide it will only add an extra 65mm to the overall height.
What type of compressor do Evakool portable fridges use?

Evakool portable fridge / freezers feature a SECOP compressor (formally known as Danfoss compressors). This compressor is the most commonly known on the market and is found in Evakool, Camec and Bushman portable fridges.

What makes the Evakool Infinity Fibreglass different to other fridges?

Great question! First of all - Evakool assemble, commission and test their Infinity range in Australia, on the Sunshine Coast.

The Infinity range is also designed to last for a long, with every part being replaceable. This ensures that the fridge freezers can last a very long time, with spare parts available in Australia.

Even if the Infinity Fibreglass models may be a little bit more expensive, they will last well above 20 years.
Can I run my portable fridge freezer directly from a solar panel/blanket?

Hi there,

Unfortunately no, a battery must always be used to provide a continuous power supply. You must plug the portable fridge/freezer into the battery and then plug the battery into the solar panel/blanket.

The solar panel/blanket on its own is unable to provide stable and constatnt power to your portable fridge/freezer, which is required to mantain your pre-set temperature.

Why do I have to ensure my portable fridge freezer is setup in a well ventilated location?

Hi there,

When a portable fridge/freezer is not properly ventilated, the unit can overheat and result in high power consumption leading to poor performance and efficiency.

It's also recommended to regularly clean the air inlet and outlet vents so that it is free from dust to prevent blockages.

Marinising is ideal for marine environments where your fridge/freezer will be exposed to salt water. It provides a protective coating around your 12V fridge/freezer motor-compartment and contains anti rust agents to protect materials such as aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, chrome, titanium, galvinsied metal and stainless steel. This ensures the motor-compartment of your fridge is rust free!
What is the difference between the standard Evakool fibreglass models and the marinised version?

The Evakool fibreglass marinised models include a protective coating to prevent rust or corrosion in the motor-compartment of your fridge. The Evakool warranty will guarantee this if the fridge is marinised from new and within the warranty period of the product. This is ideal for people taking their fridge out on a boat or to areas with salt water.
