Can the intake and outlet be run through the side of the caravan instead of the floor? I have an offroad van and would not want to damage the AC unit when going through river crossings.
Hi Joshua,
Based on the design of the air conditioner, they do require ventilation through the floor of the van they are being installed in.

Hi I noted this unit uses 2.2kw cooling , wanting to know if my 2000w inverter would be able to run this unit off my litium batteries.Regards Nick y
Hi There, We would recommend a slightly larger output such as 2500watts. It would also depend on the discharge current of your batteries. Feel free to contact us on 1300 400 122

Could this be fitted in my yacht?? If not what would be the reasoning??
Hi There,
One of the major reasons this would not be suitable for a yacht is due to the requirement for an underfloor cut out.
This cut out is completed to allow the intake of cool air, and to expel hot air produced by the air conditioner.

What is the main difference between the model and the truma?
Hi There,
The Truma has a heat pump, vs the Finch model being a reverse cycle unit, the Truma model is also lighter weight and made from higher quality materials.

Customer Reviews
Finch underbunk air conditioner Review by Jacqui loveWe are so far very happy - we have only just installed it - which my son did as he is a qualified auto electrician - it was very easy to install - we turned it on and it worked a treat - so are looking forward to our next trip - I have read the air con is expensive but it was cheaper then the competitor brand and seems about the same price as the usual caravan air conditioners(Posted on 24 November 2021)

Works really well Review by MelissaWe received the aircoditioner really quickly and no problem at all. We put it in the caravan without any problems. We had read different reviews saying that it would not heat up but we found it heated the caravan all night and was not noisy at all.(Posted on 20 June 2020)
