The battery continues to use Invicta’s ever-popular prismatic cells and is backed by a market-leading 7-year full replacement warranty and national customer support.
High-Performance BMS
The high performance BMS on the Invicta Xero allows for a wider breadth of customization compared to other batteries. This means that very often the 12V 120Ah battery available will be more than enough to get the job done.
This includes a max pulse discharge of 500A and max continuous discharge of 150A. Which will be enough to run most 2000W inverters. You can now series up to 4 (48V 120Ah), parallel up to 16 (12V 1920Ah), or even 4 series and 4 parallel (48V 480Ah). And with a cycle count of 3000+ (100% DoD) you’ll be set for years.
Communication Is Key
The Invicta Xero range comes with CAN bus and Bluetooth communication options that can function as stand-alone or simultaneous monitors.
Its open CAN bus protocol, can connect to any number of devices via a CAN link to directly talk to the battery’s BMS. A far superior option to any smart shunt on the market as it provides highly accurate data to improve the application’s performance. The CAN bus also allows for a greater number of batteries to be paralleled and seriesed in a system as each battery can talk to the other.
The Bluetooth feature is a more user friendly option which connects directly to your smart device via the free Invicta App. This method allows you to monitor all the essential information of your battery.
Robust Design
The Invicta Xero is built like no other. All components are securely fixed to ensure damaging vibrations are almost non-existent. An improved IP67 dust and waterproof rating also keeps the water and humidity out, especially useful in the tropics.
Invicta’s tried and tested prismatic cells are now secured to the case thanks to a new strengthening frame which integrates directly to the case. This extends out to the battery cells to ensure everything remains fixed.
Other upgrades also include laser welded intercell busbars and a high performance BMS that utilises a precision printed circuitry board with passive and active protections built directly in to the circuity for added security.

Can Invicta lithium batteries be paralleled? The Invicta Lithium range we have two main options the BT models and the S models (refer to Invicta product SKU code to determine)
The BT models can be paralleled up to a total of 4x
The S model can be paralleled or series up to a total of 4x ( but can not be put into a system using a parallel and series at the same time)
If you are going to put any of these batteries into parallel or series they will need to be charged to a 100% state and checked to make sure voltage is the same +/- 0.04 volts. The manufacturer or battery professional can do this if required. Please also see instruction links below for each series:

-
Why is Invicta lithium better than an AGM battery?
Compared to an AGM of a similar capacity (e.g. 100ah vs 100ah) Invicta is less than half the weight. They can also be recharged five times faster, have a more efficient use of capacity and double the runtime. Additionally, they can sit unused for up to 12 months.
-
What is a lithium battery?
Just like standard lead acid batteries, Lithium batteries consist of positive plates (cathod es) and negative plates (anodes) as well as insulating separators to avoid short circuits between the positive and negative plates, and finally electrolyte, which is the conductive liquid although unlike flooded lead acid batteries, there is no free liquid in LiFePO4 batteries. A lithium battery differs in the materials used for the above mentioned components, especially the cathode and also the process undertaken during charge and re-charge. A lead acid battery undertakes chemical reactions, which change their components. Lithium just transfers ions during the charge and discharge process leaving everything else the same.
-
Do I need to charge a lithium battery differently to a lead acid one?
LiFePO4 batteries operate a bit differently to lead acid batteries, but an appropriate charge is still best for maximum battery life.
A constant current (restricted by the charger output) will flow until the battery reaches a charged percentage of 90-95%. Once it reaches this point, the current will reduce and the voltage will increase - rising to a cut-off voltage (in reality around 14.7V).
-
Why is the LiFePO4 battery used for lead acid replacement applications?
LiFePO4 is the safest form of Lithium in terms of temperature range and when considering overcharging/discharging, short circuit and penetration possibilities. Other benefits of LiFePO4 include:
- High thermal runaway point
- Similar voltage to SLA (3.2V per cell = 12.8V)
- Good all round performance (flexible for many applications)
- Environmentally friendly (phosphate is not hazardous to environment or health)
- Slow capacity loss (sit for longer before re-fresh recharge is required)
- High cycle life
- Cost effective
-

-
What is the integrated battery management system (BMS) for?
The Integrated Battery Management System in Invicta Lithium Batteries ensure protection against over-charge / discharge, temperature and short circuits.
-
Why is LIFEPO4 safer than other lithium battery types?
The LiFePO4 batteries are the safest type of lithium batteries. Phosphate based technology possesses superior thermal and chemical stability which provides better safety characteristics than those of Lithium-ion technology made with other cathode materials. Lithium phosphate cells are incombustible in the event of mishandling during charge or discharge, they are more stable under overcharge or short circuit conditions and they can withstand high temperatures. LifePO4 has a very high thermal runaway temperature when compared to the other types at approximately 270oC as compared to as low as 150oC. LiFePO4 is also more chemically robust when compared to other variants
-
Are all lithium batteries the same?
The term “Lithium” or “Lithium Ion” refers to a family of batteries in which ions move from the negative electrode (anode) to the positive electrode (cathode) during discharge and back again when being charged. The point to note in this definition is that it refers to a “family of batteries”. Just like Lead Acid family which contains Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) and Gel types, there are a number of different “Lithium Ion” technologies within the Lithium Ion family. They each utilize different materials for their cathode and (to a lesser degree) anode and as a result exhibit different characteristics, which makes some more suitable than others for different applications.
-
Can the Invicta Lithium Range be connected in series or parallel?
There are strict conditions that need to be met for the Invicta Lithium Range to be connected into series or parallel systems.
Please note the following:
- Not all SNL batteries can be configured into a series or parallel system. Have a look at the part number of the battery. If the part number contains an "S" as a suffix (eg. SNL12V100S) then the battery can be configured into a system of up to (not exceeding) 4 batteries in series.
