The Blue Smart IP65 Charger can be used on devices in your workshop and on motor vehicles, such as (classic) cars; motorbikes; boats and camper-vans.

The battery is charged, smartly... to perfect condition:

The seven-step charging algorithm gets the best out of your battery. The charger gives the battery the power it needs, maintains its health, ensures better performance... and a longer life.

Recovery of deeply-discharged 'dead' batteries:

Unlike other brands, the Blue Smart IP65 Charger will attempt to recharge a deeply-discharged battery by force-feeding it with a low current. Normal charging will then be resumed as soon as there is sufficient voltage across the battery terminals.

Connect the battery with ease:

The charger comes with both crocodile clips and M8 eyelets - making it easy to connect to the battery. If you wish, you can leave it permanently connected.

Check the status of your battery remotely:

The Blue Smart IP65 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth, so the status of the charger and the battery can be checked on a smartphone, tablet or laptop. All settings of the charger can be configured with the VictronConnect app.

Ultra high efficiency “green” battery charger:

With up to 95% efficiency, these chargers generate up to four timesless heat when compared to the industry standard. And once the battery is fully charged, power consumption reduces to 0,5 Watt, some five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Durable, safe and silent:

Low thermal stress on the electronic components.
Protection against ingress of dust, water and chemicals.
Protection against overheating: the output current will reduce as temperature increases up to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.
The chargers are totally silent: no cooling fan or any other moving parts.

Reconditioning:

A lead-acid battery that has been insufficiently charged or has been left discharged during days or weeks will deteriorate due to sulfa-tion. If caught in time, sulfation can sometimes be partially reversed by charging the battery with low current up to a higher voltage.

Recovery function for fully discharged batteries:

Most reverse polarity protected chargers will not recognize, and therefore not recharge a battery which has been discharged to zero or nearly zero Volts. The Blue Smart Charger however will attempt to recharge a fully discharged battery with low current and resume normal charging once sufficient voltage has developed across the battery terminals.

What size battery charger do I need for my lead acid battery I have in my camper?

A good battery charger rule of thumb for charging a lead acid battery, is using a charger with output current (amps) of 10-20% of the battery total stored capacity (Ah).

So, for example if the battery is 12V 100Ah, the charger need to be minimum of 10A and maximum of 20A. Often splitting the difference at 15% (so a 12V ~15A charger) is a good option. Happy charging!
Does this require additional cables to charge a battery? Ie. Are the cables shown in the photo included?

Will this charger work on a lithium battery with a built in battery management system

Hi There,

This battery charger will certainly work with a lithium battery wilth a built in BMS. You would need to make sure the charger is programmed to the lithium charging profile via the Victron Connect mobile app.
Can I use the 12 volt 15 amp charger to charge my 100AH Battleborn lithium battery using my Champion 2500 watt inverter generator that makes 1800 running watts? Thanks

We see no reason why you woulc not use this charger with your generator and lithium battery.

The charger draws very little power and is lithium compatible.
Can I run this permently connected to my battery while my enerdrive dc2dc charger is connected cheers

You can have the two chargers connected to your battery, but it would not be recommended to charge from both of them at the same time.
Does the bluetooth function work when only connected to the battery and not connected to 240V power?

Bluetooth will only work when the battery charger is connected to mains power, and the mains is turned on.
Can this charger charge both lithium and AGM batteries ?

Excellent Charger With Great Features Review by Cameron Russell

This charger was purchased as an upgrade to an 16amp multistage charger that was being swapped between a vehicle in storage and to recharge a AGM battery in a work vehicle. The settings are simple and retained in the event of power failure and the bluetooth connectivity/app is foolproof. The high IP rating, increased efficiency and storage mode were personally desirable in my application.
