Truma UltraRapid gas/electric hot water system with Black Cowl & Cover, 2 Year Warranty The Truma UltraRapid Gas-Electric Hot Water System provides a reliable supply of hot water in leisure vehicles; caravans, motor homes, camper trailers etc. Showering, dishwashing, washing your hands – Truma has now taken the development of the well-tried Boiler further and adapted it to the continuously increasing demands of the standards. The new Truma UltraRapid HWS has increased heating power, compact & lightweight dimensions and quiet operation.

Does this product have a sacrificial anode in the water tank ?

This hot water heater does not have a sacraficial anode due to increased corrosion resistance of the tank and heating element.

Can I install the UltraRapid hot water system on my own?
No, this is a gas powered product that will need to be installed and certified by a qualified and licensed gas-fitter. If not properly and legally installed by a qualified and licensed gas-fitter - the warranty would be voided.

Can I use this with just gas or does it have to be gas and electric?
Yes, this unit can be operated on just gas or electric. The only downside to operating via just one source is the heating time is longer, with gas being 45mins, electric being 40mins and both being 28mins.

It was a very good unit, compact and provided plenty of 'on demand' hot water through either LPG or Electric. I could not fault the operation of the unit The Bad The unit was new (original unit in a new van) only lasted about 3 years before it started to leak terminally which hopefully they have rectified now.(Posted on 29 September 2020)
